Helping Families During School Disruption

Calgary Public Library is here to support students, parents, and caregivers during the Alberta Teachers’ strike. Whether you’re looking for online resources or in-person support, the Library has a variety of helpful resources and programming available at all 22 locations.

Online Curriculum Support

Interact with live tutors in Alberta curriculum for grades K – 12 with brainfuse HelpNow. Find course lessons, reviews, and practice tests for students in grades 3 – 12 with SOLARO. View all digital resources at calgarylibrary.ca/digital-resources.

Visit the Library

Active learning is the primary objective at the Library’s Early Learning Centres. Children between 6 – 12 years may also enjoy our Questionariums which includes activity tables, interactive furniture, and designed spaces.

For the safety of all, parents / caregivers are responsible for the direct supervision of children in all Library spaces.

Virtual Learning

The Library’s YouTube channel offers a wide variety of content for learners of all ages including storytimes, art tutorials, Indigenous language lessons, and more.

Learning Resource Packs include video tutorials and activities led by experts that are aligned with different subjects that are part of school curriculum.
