Earlier this year, Page captured the hearts of thousands of Calgarians. Now, more people will get to watch the short, stop-motion animated video and the magic of Calgary Public Library at upcoming film festivals.
Page will be featured at the Canada International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) in Toronto this weekend, August 23 and 24. The short film is also a finalist for the 2025 Alberta Media Production Industries Association Rosie Awards in two categories — Best Corporate Production Under $30K and Best Animator / Motion Graphic Artist.
The video was shot at Central Library and takes viewers on an adventure after doors close. Our hero, Page, goes on an epic journey to embrace growth and discovery and shows us that when we have access to different books, ideas, and ways of thinking, we have endless opportunities. Watch Page here or below.
Page will also be screened at the Central Alberta Film Festival in Red Deer in early October. The animated short film, created by the Library and Mountain Fold Studio, is in the running for several other film festivals later this year.
