The Musical Artist in Residence is a 10-week residency that supports emerging and established musicians working in any genre, with any instrument. This program provides our community with learning experiences, including performing, publishing, and songwriting opportunities.
Cam Buie is a versatile keyboardist from Calgary. Drawing from the harmonic language of jazz, pop / rock, and contemporary sounds, Cam ensures that groove and feel are always at the heart of his performances. He enjoys incorporating Latin and jazz elements into his tracks, believing that rhythm and danceability are key to music's universal appeal. Improvisation can be used to develop a genuine connection with audiences, and Cam loves to communicate musical histories and stories that connect us all to each other.
The Musical Artist in Residence is pleased to consult with emerging and established musicians of all ages to discuss technique, songwriting, performance, or whatever aspect of the music industry would be most helpful.
