Winter Wonderland

The weather outside may be frightful, but the Library is still delightful! The Library's annual Winter Wonderland will feature seasonal fun during the month of December. It will kick off with the Mayor's Holiday Storytime at Central Library on Saturday, December 7, with plenty of more family-friendly fun during the weeks to follow including movie screenings, sing-a-longs, time with special guests, and more.

Mayor's Holiday Storytime

Central Library | December 7 | 1:00 pm

Share in the joy of storytelling and the spirit of the season at the Mayor's Holiday Storytime. Mayor Jyoti Gondek will read books, share songs and rhymes, and answer questions from the audience. This is the first of many events that are part of Winter Wonderland festivities throughout December at the Library.

Virtual Writer's Circle

Interested in creating writing, but not sure where to start? Join us with a virtual community of other aspiring writers. STEM Explorers: Ocean Voices - Marine Animal Storytelling

How do animals communicate to humans? Can we understand their language? Each animal faces different challenges, such as plastic pollution, noise pollution, or climate change, and the stories explore how these animals would communicate their struggles to humans.

Light, Space & Time - Essays on Camera Craft and Creativity

Join us in welcoming David duChemin, a Canadian photographer, author, educator, amputee, and adventurer to the Central Library to launch his new title "Light, Space & Time - Essays on Camera Craft and Creativity".
We will have copies of his book for sale at the event, followed by a presentation and a book signing.
