Historic Calgary Week 2024: Brisebois – What’s in a Name?

Inspector Ephrem Brisebois, NWMP, was noted for naming the Bow River fort after himself. When it was renamed “Fort Calgary,” Brisebois disappeared from Calgary’s history. Jim Benedict will discuss why this pioneer of our city should be honoured for his many achievements.
